Bait Stops
Welcome to Bait Stops of the Lakes — a personal journal of walking and running adventures across the north of England.
‘Bait’ was the word north east miners used for their packed lunch — and it’s that same spirit of hard graft, fresh air and a well-earned rest that drives every adventure here.
What started as a quest to climb all 71 of the highest fells in the English Lake District has grown into something bigger — marathon training, new trails and fresh challenges across the north.
Whether you’re a fellow walker, a runner, or simply someone who loves the great outdoors, pull up a chair, grab a brew and follow the journey.
